I am in need of a simple pear recipe for my toddler. I bought a bag of pears and they are going bad rather quickly. Any suggestions?:flower:

You could always make a puree and freeze it, then add to yoghurts, spread on toast etc. (I know, I am not going to win chef of the year :haha:)

Me neither, because that is what I would usually do.

You could make a cake or a crumble? (sorry, I'm bit obsessed with pudding at the moment)

I would peel and chop it, put in oven dish with a bit of honey, sprinkle on crumble topping (rub in butter and flour then stir in sugar) on top and bake for about 30 minutes.

Or make pancakes and fill them with pear and cinnamon puree?

Or put the peeled and chopped pears in the bottom of a ovenproof pudding bowl (pyrex type thing) top with simple sponge cake batter (butter, sugar, eggs and flour) and bake for about 20 minutes to make a kind of Eves Pudding.

I stew fruit that's about to turn and freeze in mini portions (like first two suggestions!)

Thanks ladies, I really like the sponge cake idea!
