if i dont pee after sex till next morning is there a risk of infection??

i guess it just depends.. i always try to pee after sex just because i don't even want to risk infection.. it probably wouldn't help when ttc anyways. if you wait 10 min after sex, than pee. all the spem that are going to reach the cervix will already be there. so peeing wouldn't make an impact. gl!!

mainly yeast. easily cleared up, but you can't treat it easily if you are ttc. 10 minutes (20 if you want to be safe) and then do your normal routine. some people are more susceptible to infections. the reason the risk is higher is simply due to the dampness. maybe you can meet in the middle and sleep bottomless on a towel. that way you could keep infection down while maximizing your chances.

Hi,

I think waiting 10-15 minutes after sex to pee is best. That gives the sperm plenty of time to get where they need to be. I have gotten UTIs previously from not peeing right after, so I guess it depends on your body. I wish you lots of luck!

I have heard loads of people saying both options. I normally try to stay lying down for about 20 mins, however I always need to pee afterwards anyway so eventually I have to get up or I can't sleep! Hopefully that won't slow us down anymore :/

If we BD right before going to sleep I wait and pee a couple hours later...any time before that I wait at least 20-30 minutes.

It depends from person to person. For me personally I get UTI's very easily and have had several of them in the past. And sure enough every time I got one I did not pee before and after BDing. So for me I have to go before and then after I lay down for 15-20 mins and then drink a lot of water and make sure I flush out my bladder before I go to bed, and I also take a cranberry pill everytime we BD as that is supposed to help prevent infections.

Some people do not have issues with this and some are just prone to it.

i usually lay down for about 5-10 mins afterwards, and wait about half an hour to pee, haven't had any problems doing that so far. i don't think i would wait until the morning to pee, though, don't want to risk a UTI.
