This is my second pregnancy and I don't remember needing to get up like 5 times during the night in the first trimester. Maybe I've forgotten but is that normal?

I have been. It's very frustrating! I also pee constantly during the day. I've read it's because the uterus is pushing on your bladder, but should let up in a few weeks when the uterus lifts up and out.

I'm 10.5 weeks and can get up 4-5 times a night!

I read that in the first trimester it's because of the extra blood pumping through your kidneys making them work overtime and producing more urine!! I'm only 9 weeks and for the last week I've been up 3+ times every night and I stop drinking fluids by 7pm usually in an attempt to avoid it. Still happens!!!! Later in our pregnancy is when the uterus will be putting pressure on our bladders and then it'll be even worse! lol

Yup- I'm up every 1.5-2 hours...

I was, but it's stopped now. I sleep through the night now but wake up early to pee, in a bit of pain. It's probably nit good for me, but I think my tiredness is winning against my urge to pee :haha:

Here's one of the links about peeing a lot and the pressure of the uterus being on the bladder until it lifts up. I think

https://www.parents.com/pregnancy/my-body/aches-pains/pregnancy-urination/

This one mentions the kidneys too which I never knew was a reason https://www.fitpregnancy.com/pregna...cy-early-symptoms-your-first-trimester?page=2

I find that I don't like drinking a lot when we will be out and about as well, because when I have to go I have to go! It's nt like pre pregnancy when I could wait ages. When I feel the need I feel like I am about to bust ha ha...
