Hi Ladies,

Just another one of my quick questions...

Im well aware at my stage in pregnancy i should expect pelvic pressure, but i always thought that the pressure would be felt near and around the cervix but the pressure im feeling is more towards the pubic bone. Its making it quite difficult to walk...is this normal?...where do you guys feel pressure?

i hope its not spd, i dont have any pain going down my legs or anything, jus where the pubic bone is, around abouts where they measure your bump to, maybe slightly lower...any ideas?

Thanks in advance xx

Thats exactly where i have all my pain and midwife seems to think its spd. Its agony to walk, horrible isnt it!

I've been referred for physio, i need a support band which is like a tubi grip around your tummy apparently.

I didnt have this with either of my other pregnancys so was surprised to get it this time. And the other strange thing was i woke up one morning with it, no warning signs or anything!

xxx

yeh same here...just appeared out of nowhere which made me thnk baby may have engaged or something...will mention it to my mw too..i have an appt on monday...does it get worse as the day goes on if u have been on ur feet?... x

I agree it sounds like what i get and i got diagnosed with SPD the MW wants to refer me to a physio, ive been told to rest and to not walk much

oh dear...well will have to see what she says...thing is..the pains not there all the time...it comes n goes...which i find v.strange, and changes in intensity too...will know more when i speak to mw then won't i...thanks for ur help xx

Mine comes and goes and some days its worse than others, i mean some days i can walk and some i can barely move its agony, its like my hips and pelvis just lock its hard to describe really. Hope it isnt SPD but it is sounding like it might be, good luck hun x

Yep SPD, gp will confirm, I have to wait 2 weeks for physio but see mw on weds so will chase up I think the physio will sort out a band or tell me where to get one.
It does hurt! Like being horse riding or sitting on a cold step, I can feel it all round the seat of my bum......Im off work with it and Im not going bk as I start leave in 3 weeks then mat leave.....Im bored as I cant do what I want and just rest and sleep, feel very fatugued.....maybe some of that is 3rd tri???/

sorry for the dumb question but ive heard alot of ladies talk of spd but i have no clue what it is!!! could u explain please??

Sounds like SPD to me, I have it, went to midwife and she referred me to a physio. I struggle with seperating legs when moving about, walking, getting out of bed, getting up and down off sofa is painful too. The majority of the pain is around the pubic bone area and there is more pain to one side of my groin. I was given a massive tubi grip to wear over my bump that goes own over my hips, still feel slightly uncomfortable but makes a massive difference. :) x
