period lasts for one day..........

Maybe that was just another symptom of the same problem! If you have a hormone imbalance your temps can just go up and down, up and down. You don't grow a follicle, you don't release it and build up your lining with the progesterone from the follicle. Without a proper lining you don't bleed properly and as you don't produce enough progesterone you don't have a sustained temperature shift. Voila!
OK, that's just a possibility and I am no doctor. Blood tests will show what is going on and if anything is out of whack your doctor can help you with a treatment.
Let us know how you get on, please!

Thanks for that I've never actually found anything that told me having light periods could be a problem - I just thought it was a good thing they weren't horrible heavy!!
I'll update on here as soon as I know anything :flower:

At 3 days I consider myself lucky to have a light period and it does not affect my conception rate (this is my 6th pregnancy), but one day is pushing it in my opinion.

Try searching online under the term oligomenorrhea. This covers women who have long cycles but also women with light periods.

Good luck :dust:

Thanks I'll have a look. I hope your pregnancy is going well and I'm sorry about your losses :hugs:

The doctor I saw suggested going on the pill for a month! I said I had extremely light periods that do not last long, painful ovaries and was concerned it could be pcos. He did a scan and pelvic said all appears ok, go on the pill for a few months. Said I came off that 2 years ago don't really want it again and I had no periods with the pill I had! He said ok start from cd5 for one month see how things are. Problem being pill he prescribed my UK gp took me off due to migraines so I wouldn't touch it anyway plus he didn't really explain what it would achieve by taking it
Am going to continue with bbt and opk's til jan then go elsewhere to get tested if nothing happens as my insurance will cover it

My doctor told me that the pill can kick start your system so there may be some sense in trying it. Plus, it's for just one month and it is cheap...

Maybe your gp can prescribe you a different brand with less risk to you of migraines?

Actually, January isn't too far off to wait and who knows, you might have a change of luck by then :winkwink:

I don't think its that cheap over here - i still have a lot of the mini pill left but i doubt that would do the same thing :haha: it's good to have in mind though at least. Hopefully as you say there will be a change of luck before having to have any tests or use any form of help.

Hope everything is ok with you and your little growing bean :flower:

So far, so good. My nail biting time starts at the end of the month. Eeek!
