I am having a 3 day transfer on Monday and I was just wondering what others have been told about progesterone pesseries. In the past, I have always been told on the day of transfer they have to be taken anally but today when I asked on the phone the embryologist didn't have a clue what I was on about and told me to use it vaginally in the morning and straight after transfer. Surely to take before will interfere with the transfer?!?!? And I don't fancy using one of the long applicators afterwards.

Thank you

On all of my cycles I was told NOT to put one in the morning of transfer but to wait until after and then carry on as normal.

Good luck with your transfer Monday.

Thank you!

it's the first time I've never encountered using the pessary before transfer. Doesn't give me much confidence in the clinic! Terrified of a 3 day, happy to have my little eggies back with me.

Sounds like there might have just been some crossed wires somewhere but I would definitely wait until after transfer to put your pessary in.

Stay positive I have seen plenty of BFP on day 3 transfers. I hope this is your time, good luck :flower:

I know my embryologist doesn't normally know anything about what my fertility specialist does with prescribing medicine, he is in the lab all day long.

Like everyone else suggested, just take it after. That's what I did.

I was on crinone in the morning and pessary (vaginally) at night. I took it all as usual at 7am for my 9am transfer. My fertility specialist always does a wash of the cervix before embryo transfer to make it as straight forward as possible.

My transfer is Thursday and I was told to still do my progesterone supp that morning.. not sure if I should just wait until after transfer though!

it's so interesting that everyone has been told such different things! On my last cycle I was using cyclogest and told to us it annaly on the morning of transfer. I'm scheduled for ET tomorrow but this time I'm on Crinone gel and told to use it as normal in the morning.

It's so messy I was wondering if I should use it after the transfer! :shy: I agree though the embryologist wouldn't normally advise on medications.

Good luck with your transfer :flower:

I think I was spoilt with my last clinic - the embryologists were amazing and they were the ones that told me everything I needed to do for the transfer!

16 hours to go! :happydance:
