i had a positive opk on Thursday, think i ovulated that night then Saturday evening i had pink discharge on the toilet paper me and partner did have sex earlier in the day, then Sunday evening after a bowel movement (sorry tmi) and today had pink cm again. Its not enough that its on my underwear just when i go to the toilet and wipe i notice it.

i know that its way to early for implantion bleeding but has anyone had the same? never had this before?

my period isnt due for just over a week.

any ideas what this might be?

I had this the day after we dtd but I do have post-coital bleeding so I put it down to that. x

its weird i have never bleed or had discharge like this after bd before.

its such a light baby pink colour

Well hopefully someone else on here will have had a similar experience and help you out. :hugs: x

It's normal to have a tiny tinge of blood or pink spotting alongside ovulation, although it's not a common phenomonen. It means that a tiny bit of blood was released with the egg. Just like you sometimes see a little blood in a chicken egg when you crack it open. It's really important you keep your smear tests up to date. Spotting can also happen on some oral contraceptive pills. If it happens any other time of your cycle, or gets more frequent or heavier get the doctor to check you, but if this occurred with ovulation, it is normal.

Ebony2010 post-coital bleeding definitely needs a medical explanation. Are you up to date with your smear? It can happen during pregnancy because the cervix becomes very soft under the influence of hormones. I really think you should get your GP to give you an internal examination if you've not already been given one to rule out an abnormality of the cervix. But post-coital bleeding isn't a normal part of intercourse.

Thanks for the advice but I've already got myself checked out. My smear was normal, chlmydia test negative and internal examination ok. They call it ectopy. Just something I've got to live with until it goes away. x

Oh that's a relief, you got me a bit worried there!

It really worried me at first but they say its common in women on the pill and pregnant women, so they aren't sure why its happened to me but they aren't worried. As long as it deosn't stop me getting pregnant I don't care!!
