Right im starting to sort hospital bag out and wondering if to pack pjs or nighties or both ??? Ill be wearing a nightie obvs for birth but im hoping to breast feed so wondering if any of you girls have got any good buys ??

I have both, but I plan to give birth in a hospital gown to be honest. Then I have a very attractive nightie with buttons down the front (might get another one) and a few pairs of PJ's, although everyone tells me I won't wear the PJ's.

I'm going to take both but can't see me wearing nighties at all after the birth tbh, I'd feel really uncomfortable.

I have both, I'm very comfy wearing polo shirts and it is light so expect I will just wear that with no bottoms and chuck on my pj bottoms or dressing gown if I want to go for a walk.

But I do have a nursing nightie in case for some reason I feel better wearing that.

Yeah i was goin to take in both, where did you get your buttoned up nightie ?? xx

Im taking both, they are doing some buttoned up nighties in matalan atm :)

I got mine in matalan too! Was a bout a fiver. I can pick you one or two up if you don't find any hun x x

My friend said she didnt wear her PJs as she ached too much after the birth to get the trousers up. I got my nighties for 3.50 each from Primark, they have buttons for breastfeeding x

I just took nighties with me... but tbh I put my own clothes on as soon as I could. I got up had breakfast and got dressed. I had no intention of hanging around lol

I think im going to take a maybe 2 nighties and a pack of pjs
x

Ive bought myself some cheapie pj's from Asda for this time. Our hospital actually provide everything - nighties, dressing gowns, slippers etc the only we actually need is toiletries, nursing bras and going home clothes.

Last time I took my own dressing gown and slippers. I used their nighties but I was horribly uncomfortable and we were stuck there for a week. This time Im packing everything for myself. Ill use their nightie for birth and then Ill have my own comfy clothes. Ive packed trackie bottoms and t-shirts so I can dress during the day too.

I have two nighties with buttons down the front from primark for £3.50 each and some maternity PJ s from matalan for £12. I have had to buy another pair of Matalan PJs to pack as I have found them so comfy I am living in them :)

I didn't see any maternity stuff in our matalan :(

I got some great blue PJ's though with a band that goes over the bump though, but the top is way too small :haha:

Whats your pjs like ? pic pic lol xx:thumbup:

I'm packing PJ bottoms which can be pulled up to the middle of the bump in case of c-section and lots of huge mens t-shirts which I'll just be able to lift up for feeding. Will cover the jelly belly with the sheet and/or feeding cover I have bought for privacy.

I say take whatever you think you'll be most comfortable in. If you do take PJ's you can always remove the bottoms when in bed anyway which is what I would imagine myself doing.

I only took nighties with me. They are a lot more practical esp if you are unfortunate to have an episiotomy. The botton down the front ones are also good if you are BF. :)
Best to get dark colours because you will be losing lots of blood too.
