:hi: everyone,

This is a famous phrase I use often. I even add her name in there. She won't come to me when I call her. 90% of the time she won't literally 90%. Please help me get her to come. You can see her age in my ticker.ughhhh:brat: help please..Thanks:thankyou::baby::hugs:

anyone having trouble with their toddler not listening?annnnnyone help plz?:hugs:

Riya sometimes ignores me when I call her if shes concentrating on something, she will acknowledge ive called her by either saying huh or a little giggle. if I say it enough times she usually comes over, otherwise I usually start to play with her toys and she's straight over to have a play.

Sometimes AJ will ignore me or run if he doesnt want to do what I would like him to do.
Eg, AJ please come here, we need to change your nappy. AJ runs away. I'll ask again if not, I go get him.
If I ask AJ to put his coat on he will sometimes ignore me. I do as above.
For both, I then tell him what I would like him to do and why. Then we do it.

Most of the time, Oscar ignores me when I say come here. He doesn't have any health or behavior issues, he just chooses to ignore me. It's maddening but totally normal.

Same here doctor says she is normal and she looks at others when called. But she totally ignores me like I didnt raise her.ughhhhhhhhh it frustrates me.is there a game? thanks so much everyone:):hugs:

Mines a bit younger but he always ignores me yet listens to others. I know he can hear so that's not the problem. I just think it's a toddler thing. x

I don't have any advice hun, I have a 4 years old who doesn't come when I call him all the time :dohh: lol x

It's called "selective hearing." Get used to it as it never ends.

Honestly, it's a toddler thing, it's a kid thing. :)

lol i think this is pretty normal and i dont think it ever gets any better. dont you remember being a teenager lol:p ahha x

My LO does this to me all the time.. and I know I was doing it to my own mother just a few years ago as a teenager... :dohh: It's frustrating but I think it's just part of them exercising their independence

I was just reading in a book that toddlers don't actually understand the concept of 'come here'!

Oh my oldest was so ignorant between the ages of 1 and 2 he wouldnt answer to anyone if he didnt want to. He still wont come to me now if i say 'come here' lol but he will acknowledge thats hes heard me which is usually followed with a very loud and firm 'NO Mummy!' Hes so cheeky.
