Ok so changed ds's bedtime routine over a week ago now. This was instead of bath play bed ( as he wouldn't sleep til 930 ) .....I started doing bath, book milk bed.....which after two days worked amazing.....he now goes to bed about 8 and is fast asleep!

But......now he keeps waking up at 2am.....I'll lay with him for an hour but he just can't sleep. It gets to the stage where he's crying and screaming to get up. I keep ending up taking him downstairs but he still doesn't fall asleep!,

Please help xxx

what a nightmare! I don't have any advice but didn't want to read and run.

I hope someone can help you! x

Thanks chic so do I!

Only the other day he woke at 2.....threw up on me at 430.....then I had an 8.5hr drive to aberdeen!!!

Around the same age, Tobi had a similar thing oing on.
He old o own nice as pie by 7pm, but hen be wide awake at 2ish for three hours. It was bout this time that his speech came on leaps nd bounds, o I think he was having. Sleep regression. This lasted for bout three weeks. Now he sleeps though, but refuse to go to bed!

We would not let him o downstairs nd tied to make it as boring as possible. We did bring him into bed with me a few times as we just needed to sleep!

I am sure it I just a phase and it will pass..... I know that doesn't make it ny better at the moment, but it will improve.

Koby has to go to bed at 8.30 or later most nights to sleep right through.sometimes he is tired earlier I try and hold him off but if he is miserable I'll put him down.but he is always ready for bed at 8.30.maybe try holding him off an extra half hour if u can bare it?

Thanks ladies.......yes I can imagine it probably is some sort of 'wonder' phase.....probably too tired to have thought of it!,

And yes ....may try keeping him up a tad longer tonight xx

How does he sleep during the day?

Omg! Just realised that they are the same age too! Does your LO sleep with a pillow? Silly question i know but my lo doesnt and was thinking that maybe shes uncomfortable?

I've just introduced one. We were co sleeping and he'd just sleep on the mattress. Now I've moved him into his toddler bed I've got him a real flat one. He started off fine but by 2am he had his feet on it instead of his head xx

Just googled it ..................

'18 FREAKIN Month sleep regression'!!!!"...........

Ans apparently it only lasts a couple of months !!!!

aAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh !!!

Ladies with the same problem......I read to let them sleep extra during the day !!! I have always tried to limit Millers sleep.....hes had two hours this morning then just fell asleep in the car again !!! I'm gonna limit this one to an hour.....put him to bed a little later.
