please help!!! job application!

i have never had a job in my life as i had a child at 17 and by the time he could go nursery i had another baby. anyway...i now have childcare sorted an i would love to get into either teaching or funeral directing. it just so happens a local funeral directers is advertising for a funeral directer. obviously i have nothing to put on a CV and i have no experience in the funeral sector either. so i was hoping to write to them and see if they could offer me work experience and perhaps give me the relevant training (wihout paying me) then if at the end of training they having any job openings then they could consider employing me? i have sat here now for 4 days trying to write them a letter but i just cant think of a single thing to write but i really really want to apply. can someone please please help me

You may not have any skills in the sector but show them that you are determined and passionate about the job. So for example saying how dedicated you are, you always do you best, your punctual, you wont let them down if they give you an opportunity. Perserverance usually pays off. You can always put things down like your a good listener, organised, etc

Have you been to your local job centre? They can help arrange a work placement (they used to offer employers £1000 for employing somebody who was long-term unemployed)
As cassysuri said try and think of the qualities the job requires and list what you have.
As a mum you have to be organised, punctual, able to understand emotive states and caring.
