Please look at my dates and tell me - what are my chances?

Good morning, I am new to this and I am hoping for some very helpful insight and some very honest opinions!

This is month 3 for me of TTC. My first period came on the 18th June (45 days after coming off Yasmin), followed in July 30 days later on the 17th and then 32 days later in August.

Hubby and I have decided to delay using OPKs for a while yet and so I am looking for you lovely ladies to have a look at the dates which we did the baby dance and let me know what you think my chances are of a BFP this month: we Bd'd on - 22/08, 23/08, 26/08, 29/08, 31/08, 03/09 ....what do you think? I'm already torturing myself and the 2 week wait has just begun!!!!

Hi hun, I am not sure but hoping this is the month for you...... and you can get the early response test where you can test 6 days early or something can't you!

It all depends when you actually ov, but if you're 'normal' (ugh hate that word) and my maths isn't totally rubbish....

You probably oved around the 1st September??? (give or take a day or two) - so i reckon your timing is pretty much spot on!

Hi,

It's really impossible to say because it completely depends on exactly what day you ovulated. This can roughly be worked out if you know your average cycle length and how long your luteal phase is. But even if you know these things, it can definitely vary from cycle to cycle.

From your dates, I would roughly work out that you ov'ed on day 17 of a 31 day cycle, which is September 4. So the only BD that had a good chance of resulting in pregnancy was on September 3 (the earlier ones aren't impossible, but they are unlikely).

Thank you all for your replies. It amazes me how trying to have a baby is so complicated!!! Its only month 3 and already I get upset when I hear friends, family etc. are expecting. Silly I know. But, I guess that tells me we've made the right decision to try for a baby.

I suppose all I can do now ia wait (& admittably I'm not very good at that!). I calculate my period is due next Friday the 17th.... I'm going to try and restrain myself from testing until AF is late...

I want to thank you all for sharing your experiences and for answering my questions - sometimes I feel like the dumbest person ever.

If I don't get my BFP this month it's onto OPKs next month. I'm really hoping we got the dates right this month!!!

Is anyone else due AF around the 17th....would be interested in keeping in touch with all you testers around that date - share that anxious feeling!!??
