Hi all I had a scan today showing that my egg that was 12 mm on Friday was no where to be seen today on the scan! Does this meN that I might of already ovulated? I just thought the egg had to be about 20 mm before it releases?! And also the nurse has taken me of clomid and put me on letrozole for next month does anyone know what the difference is between the two drugs and if letrozole has higher success rates? Please any advice not having a good time at the moment thanks fir reading xxx

I can't help much as I have never used letrozole (AKA Femara) or had a BFP but I have heard that it produces less side effects and less risks but the success rate is the same as Clomid.

I don't know much about the follicle size. I do think its has to be bigger than 12mm. I do know that some women who don't get good results from clomid succeed with femara. Also it leaves ur body quicker than clomid and it don't thins your lining. I am starting femara this month. I never used clomid though, hope that helped
