last few weeks my hips and back have been quite sore just put it down to baby getting bigger but on tuesday i went to town with my mum managed to walk round town not too bad for about an hour then came home and my hips had gotten loads worse anyway just spent the day on the sofa and they gradually got better but yesterday i went to lunch with some old school friends and then later on took my friends dog down the beach for about 2 hours as we have a 2mile long beach. (im never going to the beach again while pregnant!). as soon as i got on the sand my hips and crotch got really painful had shooting pains in my crotch really bad and found it agonizing to walk thought it would go away so just carried on. but once i got home and sat down found i couldnt move of my sofa without the most excriutiating pain going through my hips and legs. thought it mite get better overnite but instead i slept for all of 3 hours cuz was so painful and stil in loads of pain and want to cry whenever i move my legs or try to stand up. does this sound like spd?? i really hope not and it just my muscles form all the excercise. but any opinions would be greatly appreciated

sounds like it hun.....i have had this since 15 weeks, i have to have physio and wear a tubagrip.....when i turn over in bed my pelvis pops and clicks, its very uncomfy and i have 15weeks to go yet :( the tubagrips do help though :)xx

i did notice over the last week or so that when i wake up to turn over at might my hips click as i turn over. i couldnt even turn over last night it took me about 10 minutes each time

sometimes i have to get out of bed just to turn over, its eaiser, the physio tells you to keep ur knees together....(eaiser said than done when ur trying to turn over) i often look like a cockroach on its back :)

also i find it make me want to go the loo more due to the pressure....get in touch with ur midwife see if she can offer you the tuba grip...it does help but then again i think i am getting too big to wear it.....

at least you only have a few weeks to go hun.....:)

Im getting really bad pains in my groin and hip area whenever i walk, turn over in bed and driving is hurting too. Have just been signed off and booked t see a consultant about, as they think it might be spd too.

yeh i dont think i could deal with this if i had any longer to go than i already have. i have my growth scan and get to see my specialist consultant on tuesday so will speak to them about it then as my midwife is once again on holiday
