Thanks ladies! I ended up having to go to ER last night for observation. X-rays show no pneumonia (thank goodness) but rather something like bronchial spasms or pregnancy induced asthma (just with a sinus infection or cold on top to mimic the pneumonia). Has anyone ever had this problem?
hey, I am having exactly the same problem! In February and March (before i was pregnant) I had a series of chest infections and took many antibiotics. Bump comes along, and I was counging, wheezing, spasms..general yuckiness. I have since been on another 5 or 6 lots of antibiotics and ventolin inhalers which did nothing to help, so my GP referred me to a specialist. Mr Specialist sees me for all fo 20 minutes, gives me a proper steroid inhaler and says see how you get on...the difference has been incredible! I'm still not right, and cough/wheeze/spasm from time to time but it is som much more maneagble. I am now 31 weeks pregnant, and as bump is growing she pushes furrther up which puts a bit of strain on my chest, but with the inhaler it's very maneagable. I feel sooooo much better too
if you want to know anything else let me know and I really hope you start to feel better soon ... take care of you and bump
