This probably sounds a bit daft but whenever our LOs spend anytime at my IL's they come back reaking of my MIL. I get on pretty well with my IL's on the whole and they can't do enough for our LOs, we're really lucky. But when they / we come home they smell of her really sweet, strong perfume.

Anyone else??

This happens to L all the time. Sometimes it's just from holding her for a little while. It's not just mil but my sister too. I dont mind, at least they smell nice! Comes out in the wash!

My LO smells of MIL when she's been with her too! I don't mind though, its a nice smell! I only notice it then too, which is a bit odd because OH wears strong aftershave!

Yep. If LO is with my mum for long, she smells of her and when she's with my MIL she ends up smelling of her aswell. It takes at least an hour for her to start smelling like herself again!

Yes!

She picks up everyone's perfume smells! It's really strong on her and quite odd!!!

I hate it! I'm allergic to perfume so it makes me sneeze and also cos I like him smelling of baby. I always can't wait til that evening when he has his bath to wash it off and smell of baby again!

I really really hate this, weird I know but I like LO smelling of nothing else but her natural smell. Maybe it's a primitive thing?

I did make a comment when my mom was staying with us right after the birth. But there's a noticeable whiff and then a full-on-knock-you-down-make-your-eyes-water-way-overboard odor. It was Clinique Happy...and I'm pretty sure she bathed in it. I had to say something. Our entire house smelled like her. She was entirely cool with it i think in part because she had to know how overpowering it was. I wouldn't have said anything if I didn't think our house would combust from the fumes.

Yup!! Happens every time. In fairness though, they come back smelling of my mum, MIL, my brother, just whoever happens to be wearing smelly stuff. Am sure they smell of me only I can't smell it :)
