Poop??

I feel really stupid asking this, but how often is it normal for a 6month old on 3 meals a day solids to be pooping?

I'm trying to figure out if his tummy is bothering him. Not only have we been upping the solids lately as he's been so hungry, but we also switched from a soy formula to the regular kind. Quite a few changes. Now he poops 4-5 times a day rather than once every two days.

It's not a stupid question at all ... it can be confusing when things change.

Our son has always been a 'super pooper' - pooping a few times a day. That has meant I can never be sure exactly when it will be, so I'm not one of those mums who can plan accordingly. He's now 21 months and still poops three times a day, on average. I reckon he's just got a healthy system on a faster clock!

I wouldn't worry unless the poop changes a lot - eg becomes runny or changes colour or something like that.
