My five month old son hates travelling in the car - hates it He screams as soon as we put him in his seat, and continues from the moment we leave until the moment we arrive - he only stops when he's cried himself to sleep. It's absolutely horrible. I can't stand hearing him cry, but if we stopped the car every time, we'd literally be stopping and starting every two minutes.
When he has eventually fallen asleep, he wakes again the moment the car stops - be it at traffic lights, or junctions or whatever. My family live about four hours away, and I am really really reluctant to go as the journey is just going to be Hell! OH's family are also a long drive away too - both my boys are missing out on seeing their family more regularly.
Has anyone got any suggestions as to how we could make it more pleasant for him (and us!)
