Hiya, Basically my 4month old baby girl has been poorly for the last couple of days and not sleeping very well cos shes full of cold and cant keep her dummy in and every time it falls out she wants it again. But she seems 2 b getting worse not better, I've been dosing her up with calpol & clearing her nose out but this morning she woke up with a really bad cough, Shes still eating her food and drinking her milk though and even gave me a smile but when I had her cough I started panicing and I'm really not sure whether to take her 2 the docs or not... Wot would u do? Can they do anything for a bad cold for a baby? Its def got 2 b a cold as her eyes are streaming and her nose is as well. I feel useless

I would take her to the docs just to check her cough hasnt gone to her chest. Hope she gets better soon x

I agree with Scally. Doc cant really give her anything but you need to make sure it isnt on her chest x

I also had a good tip from the Hospital when Emily was 8 weeks old and had a cold - if you put books under the top legs of her cot, so that it's tilted, it helps at night because all the gunk (sorry tmi!) runs down the back of their throats instead of collecting near the nose!

^^WSS, also I have a plug in Calpol vapouriser. It's brilliant plus the lavendar and Chamomile, in it, help her sleep.

my lo was same and he had chest infection so is on antibiotics .. i would tke her x
