position of cervix does it really matter

Now this is so confussing on a subject i thought would be black or white.i thought your cervix dropped when you ovulated and rose again then re drops before period due and stays high if your pregnant.now the question i really wanna know is when before your period does it drop if in fact it does is it one day 2 days or more.i feklt mine low on my last period in fact was so low and i know tmi but had spot of blood so knew period starting now am 2 days away from af and its still high so am i in with maybe a chance this month test says bfn but thats not abnormal to do so confused lol
