Positive pg test...please help

Can anybody help me before i lose my mind?

I am 9DPO and the urge got the better of me so i ended up taking a pregnancy about an hour ago.

So, i took the test, and went to the kitchen to do some dinner. I sort of forgot about it and it wasn't until about 20 minutes later i remembered...and it was a very faint but definately there BFP?!!

Or was it? Did i leave it too long to check the results for it to be reliable? I've used the same tests for 4 years and a negative has never looked like a positive afterwards. I did another test straight after with whatever pee i could squeeze out but it was neg. Maybe it was just too soon afterwards, the 1st test i did i had held in my pee for a long time

I have a feeling it was positive if it was pink but dont hold me to it. Heres why I think this..the first test probably had more concentrated urine and with being only 9 dpo..you need the most concentrated urine. Take a test in the morning and keep us posted =)

Thank you for making me feel a bit more hopeful! It's weird that for the last 4 years of trying i always fool myself into believing i am pregnant only for AF to show. It seems all evening since the test i have been trying to fool myself out of it!! It was definately pink, and could see it from an arms length

I have armed myself with some clearblues for in the morning...so we will see, fingers crossed...

I would just test again... if the line was very faint then you probably just need a 'better' pee to get another +. Good luck

Well i tested with clearblue with FMU and it was a BFN...

I'm still pretty hopeful though as the test strip i used yesterday was more sensitive (10miu) than the clearblue i used today which was 25miu. I feel a bit robbed to be honest as i went into asda and asked for the best most sensitive and they just gave me the most expensive. Also i was 8dpo yesterday not 9, sorry my mistake!

So i shall leave it for a day or two as i dont have any 10miu strips left just the clearblues.

Oh and the pos line on the test strip, im sure its getting darker!

Yeah i say re test in a couple of days strips are much more sensitive but did the line have colour because it could have been an evap line x

when i was ttc my dd, i used a clear blue , my mum turned up with pound store poas (10miu) got a

just because they are a well know brand does not mean they will work first.

test again in a few days time, it is still very early.

The best high street test imo is superdrug, so get one of those if you can - I first got a bfp with an IC and it was so light I could hardly see it. Did a superdrug about 3 hours later and got a pink line they are 10 miu. Plus they're not too expensive!

hey,
u should at least need to wait for 3 hrs without urination, before taking next test.
i think u r positive as mine preg test never showed any faint lines even after 24 hrs. the faint line suggest that may be hcg count was low. wait for 2 days more if ur heart permits. and take first urine sample. do blood test if u wanted to know at earliest.

this happened to me with my ds. i poas and saw it was negative, left ot on the side, went back 2 hours later and it was a bfp. ignored it for another 2 hours then gave in drove to tesco and brought a digital lol he is now a naughty 3 year old

Hi,
I've peed on a lot of sticks (and I mean a lot lot lot!!! ) and I've never seen an evaporation line even after leaving the test for a good few hours.
Test again in a few days time, good luck and keep us posted hun.

I've always got my BFP with either a £ store test or like another poster said the superdrug own brand ones, they are about £3 each but very good if I remember rightly (2 years ago now lol) I tested at night with one of these and it was before AF was due and got a BFP
