Of late there have been some really stressed out ladies on here and I thought sharing some positive stories might cheer us all up.

Here's mine...
My best friend gave birth this morning to a beautiful little girl of 8lb 2oz. My friend is 42 and this is her 5th baby. She has only ever had MS once, with her first pregnancy and none since. She's had spotting, cramping etc and knows it's all normal. She's had 5 consecutive healthy pregnancies, no miscarriages, no missed miscarriages. All natural births. Her oldest is now 16. She been a huge help to me in my pregnancy and always tries to remind me that most pregnancies are pretty uneventful! So chuffed for her!

Feel free to share any positive stories...
I think we need positivity in here just now!

Yay! Congrats & Thank you so much for this! ! Thats amazing :)

I know so many people who have had baby's with uneventful pregnancies with beautiful babies! I think we need to remember these are the usual ones!

I know. I appreciate pregnancies are stressful, especially the first one or after a loss but we generally hear about the complications on here not the straightforward ones. Nobody really posts to say 'I'm relaxed, feeling good and it's all going really well' although this is how the vast majority of pregnancies go.
My friend told me if she was to give me one piece of advice it would be to relax and enjoy every day. She finds all my little panic attacks quite amusing!

Totally agree!

Well at the minute, I'm relaxed, feeling good and it's going well! ;)

Excellent Gem1302! I'm happy for you. After a few wobbly days I'm feeling pretty good too. Having a squeeze of a little one only a few hours old helped! Bloody hormones, ended up blubbing but only because I was so happy!
Can't wait for my 1st scan, desperately wanna see bubs now!

Yay! Glad you're ok now! I have been poorly this week but its going away now. Awww I can't imagine holding a baby right now, I'd cry too! Just think, you'll have a tiny one soon too! I had a scan Tuesday, according to lmp I was 12 weeks but got put back 2.5 weeks :( it's all ok though :) get another scan in a couple of weeks :D

Finally! Something positive to read!! Thank u :)

I've read so many threads with girls worrying about spotting, cramping or just not feeling 'right' and it is so much a part of pregnancy. But when you skip to the end of these threads, they almost always end with everything turning out absolutely fine, strong heartbeats or active ultrasounds.
For every girl out there feeling down or stressed enough to look for help on a forum, I'm sure there are 20 who are having a pretty uneventful pregnancy. I'm going to try and avoid certain posts in future, not because I don't care, but because other people's worries really can get you down. You read one then another then another and its like a domino effect and before you know it you're on the verge of a panic attack!

My new mantra is...
I'm doing well. I'm sure my baby is doing well. Im going to enjoy this pregnancy and in around 227 days I'm going to be a mum.
Hooray!
