possible mc but doctor not very helpful?

hope this is in the right place will put it in the try to concieve aswell incase it not.
Im wondering if anyone can help, i got a positive on monday with FRER and a 1-2 weeks pregnant on wednesday with clearblue digi but on friday on had some spotting in the morning when i wiped so i went the doctors and he said im having a mc and took some bloods ( which wont be back until monday)and all he siad was i would have a normal period and that was it. i had no more blood all day but this morning ive pasted blood again and got some painnot a lot just discomfort, so think he is right but should i not get check out?should the doctor do more?how will i know ive definately mc?

sorry for so many question, im just so confused and upset at the minute and the doctors are no help

I am having the same as you. I had 3 positives, and started bleeding this am with discomfort in the abdominal area. I rang the out of hours doc, and he was really helpful. He said they would examine me if I wanted, but I will wait untill Monday, and make an appointment with gp then. He said that there would be 2 possible outcomes. Either I would have full mc, or I would just spot for a few days, and not have a full mc.He said my cycle would return after that. If I don't have a full mc they will do a d & c. He also said to ring back if I have any concerns, or if anything changed. I'm sorry you ar going through this. It's horrid isn't it. I hope this helps. Sorry your GP was so blunt with you. I think so Gp's need to do a course in patient manner.

Your doc should do bloodwork on you twice (48 hours apart) to see if hcg is doubling or even rising for that matter to confirm a m/c. Only one day of bloods does not mean anything. I think your doctor assumes that since you are already bleeding that you won't need any intervention but I think you should at least get a m/c confirmed with the bloodwork.

Doctors can be so crap. I hope everything is ok.

You can bleed and still be pregnant, my friend has three really bad bleeds in the first 11 weeks and now has a healthy 8lb 10 oz baby bouncing on her knee. The only way to confirm for sure is with blood tests to measure you HGC levels. I would suggest that on Monday you go to your GP and demand another blood test to check if your HGC levels have dropped or increased.

what is it with these doctors diagnosing a mc without checking hcg levels or scan?! You poor thing- I so hope its just a false alarm for you. Good luck chick

GP's are useless! I remember going to the ER because I was passing bloodclots the size of half my arm and the doctor goes on you can go home after I check your cervix thankfully my cevix was to high and she needed to get the head of the gyn ward to check it! He admitted me as a acute patient, after a scan showed I had residul from my twin pregnancy and I hemorrigd and needed emergency D&C.., what really gets me is the ER doc was going to send me home!? I really think they should scan everyone who is having a mC!
