Possible to conceive without trying second time if you had difficulty first time?

Hi, I had a very difficult conceiving my now 1 year old - with endo and cysts, I had a surgery and finally after IUI I was able conceive. Is it at all possible to conceive a second baby without actively trying? Anyone has any experience?
