Were heading to potty trainin, or even hes now showing signs of being ready but not sure what to do next!
He wee's on the potty in the evenings when hes bare bummed and we do keep remiding him. Havent successfully gone all day with anything on the potty but there maybe improvement now as hes doing better this week than he was last...
He asks for his nappy off when he sees us using the toilet, but will still wee in one if its on.

I keep getting advice to use pullups but surely they would confuse him from cloth as he can feel when hes wet?

Personally I think pull ups are confusing and a bit pointless whether a child has been in sposies or cloth. Ruby wears them at night just in case but as far as I can tell she never ever wets them, I must be braver and stop them, haha.

I just took nappies away in the house during the day after Ruby's first deliberate wee on the toilet, and put her in knickers. I didn't put trousers on her just so it would be less to have to wash if she wet herself. Once she was reliably asking to go to the toilet, (all of 2 days in her case) we took her out in knickers too and never had a problem.

We did get some training pants but they seemed pointless too, considering how much a whole toddler wee is, they wouldn't stand a chance! I think they would only be useful with a child that occasionally started weeing then realised and stopped right away. Then you'd only have to change the training pants not their whole bottom half. They can obviously feel the wetness in those, as they are just pants with an extra layer of fabric as far as I can tell.

What did you do for going out in the early stages? We dont have any quieter days untill next week really and even then it might not even be 2 ore more together.

I just put nappies on her. I figured we weren't in a rush and the worst it was going to do was make the process take longer.

I think thats what we'll do then. Bare/pants unless going out
