Hi!

Had my 37 week checkup with midwife today. I am seeing them every week now to keep an eye on my blood pressure and also to check for protein in my urine.

Today my bp was 140/88 which is just under what they would class as high but I also had lots of protein in my urine and also blood!!

My feet are a little swollen, none in my hands or face and I have just started with a headache.

My question is really about the type of headache you should look out for. I think I have a headache because I haven't slept well for a few nights and I am tired. It is just a dull ache rather than a raging, full blown headbanger. I am also a bit sniffly so that could be it too but at what point should I be concerned that it may be because of pre eclampsia?

Cathy :)

I'm not too sure about it myself but I've had the same experience, I had high blood pressure (quite a bit higher than usual for me) and lots of protien in my wee. After a couple of weeks though all my symptons just dissapeared. Try and drink lots to help flush through the protien hopefully and will also help headaches.

Hello hun iv been rushed into hospital with pre eclampsia scare the other day i`m really swollen in feet ,ancles and hands and my bp was high with protien in urine,i was in the hospital for a day being monitored and the doctor decided that i dont have preclamspsia and i`m ok to go home but i have to rest and keeo my feet up.I was having headaches and still do but their not too bad and dont last long.As long as your seeing midwife and geting blood pressure and urine tested regular i think you`ll be ok xx

Wish I could help as I'm being monitored for this as well due to bp and protein. I'd phone the midwife perhaps to see what she says x
