pre-eclampsia?

Heyy all well I've been feeling rough the last couple of days and just wondered after reading my book the midwife gave me if it could be?
I have very severe headaches-sounds stupid but sometime I have to like screw my eyes up to cope haha!
And I have like white dots in my vision some times :/
Pain under my right rib that comes and go and then I feel really sicky and clamy and tired.
I don't know what my pb or urine is currently but I have the midwife in a bit so obviously ill find out and talk to her then-even though she's a scary dragon just wondered what you guys thought?

These sound like some of the symptoms for pre-eclampsia, so its great you're seeing the midwife later. I'm not trying to scare you as some of the symptoms might just be pregnancy related. I saw the GP today for high blood pressure, but it came back OK and she listed the symptoms for me.

So just seen midwife and my blood pressure is up by ten. Both the top and bottom numbers. Urine is clear but she advised me to call the hospital if the headaches are accompinuied by flashing lights that stay not the ones that come and go. And my little chunk is measuring 5 days ahead bless him!

id ask them to do regular checks on your bp and urine hun.
with my last pregnancy, during third tri my bp got higher slowly. and i always had protein in my wee but no one was worried about it.
at just under 39 weeks i saw my mw, again my bp had got a bit higher than the last time and there was still protein in my wee but this time my hands and feet were swollen too. i was told it was all normal and not to worry about it.
i went home but still didnt feel right so i saw a different mw the next day, i was admitted to hospital later that day and induced due to pre eclampsia 2 days later.

i always thought pre eclampsia came on suddenly but i now know that the symptoms can build slowly over time.
if you are ever unsure about how you are feeling i would see your mw x

Does anyone know if pre elcampsia is genetic? My mum had it with both me and my brother and ended up delivering me at 30 weeks and my brother at 34 xx
