I've had Eczema since I was a kid, and it'd show up unexpectedly every couple of years. I'd get it under my legs and on my arms sometimes around my chest. Since I hit 12 weeks though it's really flared up mainly on my fingers and wrist where I've never had it before :nope:

I didn't really think anything of it until I read about Obstetric Cholestasis. Now I'm really panicking and thinking it could be more than just a simple flare, has anyone else had this or similar symptoms regarding eczema any input would be greatly appreciated.
I can't phone my doctors until monday morning and although the midwife has commented on it a few times it's only ever 'Oh have you got a bit of eczema there.'

if midwife isnt worried about it think you'll be okay hormones make your body do funny things dw :)

I hope everything gets better!!
Go talk to your doctor or go to a clinic and see if you can get some meds or like a cram/lotion.

I know I'm probably thinking the worst as usual, but I'm definitely going to make an appointment on monday.
Better to be sure than sat around worrying :haha:

I had this! I used to get it on my neck, on the inside of my arms, & under my eyebrows  Lol weird places, I know. But te doc told me to go buy a low dose hydrocortizone (sp?) cream & it worked wonders! It sucked too because my neck was all red & it looked like I had a bunch of hickies :haha: Everyone at school always stared at me in disgust until I got the problem fixed!

My eczema's flared up recently on the back of my necl and on my arms where I've never had it before.. And then the usual places that I get a little patch where my earlobes attatch to my head (lol) and my legs.. Weird :/ xx

Try aloe vera gel, I've got puppps and i'm on steroid cream but find that aloe vera gel stops me from itching the hell out of myself!

My midwife had me stop my usual cream because it had steroids in it and it's horrible, it gets so itchy :nope:
I'll give the aloe vera a try though, thanks hunni
And Nade it's probably the worst I've had it, really gets me down most days.

Is it really itchy? If so i know how you feel, I've been told that i'm going to have PUPPPs until after the baby is born and i'm so miserable itching like mad every single day!

It's horrible hun I've never had it so itchy before, I wake up in the middle of the night and itch like crazy, but because it's like between my fingers and palms it feels so good to itch it! It drives me absolutely crazy!

I've had it all my life so I know it's still going to flare up every so often when babys here :nope:

Yeah i'm up about four times every night itching aswell, it really does make you miserable. to top it off i have a big ugly rash on my belly that will be there for another 15 weeks. I'm using about 400 different creams on my body at the moment haha. The joys.
That aloe vera gel i got it from holland and barrett it was only 2.99 or 3.99 at the moment so i'd definately give it a go.

if you get the itch anywhere else apart form your hands there is this soap called "granpa's pine tar soap" i read that it can be a miracle for itchiness and i've been using that and my rash has cleared up 100x better than it was a week ago. I'd suggest that too, although i had to get that online cause i think it's an american thing. Well worth the £7 though babe x

Thanks sweetie ill keep this thread on my faves incase I need to come back to see that again.
And tell me about it, my stomachs just started to get itchy I hope its not going to start there as well :(
