Having obsessed about having a pillow for wks now, I finally hsve one and after three nights am ready to bin it!!! If I want to turn over (which is a lot) I now hsve to physically get outta bed, turn it over and get back in.....not conducive to sleep :( and the only comfortable thing about it is I can sleep even better on my back with it, which is completely defeating the object no? Waste of time and money :( :( :( :( there's no way I can stop sleeping on my back :(

I totally know how you feel. I have a v-pillow (as I had acid reflux at bedtime and so sitting up a bit more helped) My friend then gave me a wedge pillow. The wedge is ok but I have to wake up to turn over, to be honest I wake up when I turn anyway as my back or bump will ache.

I feel better on my back and when I am on my side bubs wriggles loads (I worry he's squashed) Have you tried sleeping on your back but sitting up a bit more? I don't think that's as bad as sleeping flat on your back.

I have the long body pregnancy pillow. I got it when it was half price at 9.99 and now I'm bigger and aching its a dream to stuff under my bump and wrap between my legs. I have to admit it was awkward to change position with it at first but I've kinda mastered a strange rolling over action with pillow still wrapped around me. If its not the long one you have I'd defo recommend. Otherwise if your struggling to get on I'd used normal pillows and cushions ... Hope you get some good sleep soon! X

I just used normal pillows last time. It's still a pain when rolling over, but as a pp said, you tend to be awake anyway so it's better to be comfy!
I can still sleep on my tummy at the moment!

Yep it's the long one by dreamgenii.....bloody awful thing...it's going on eBay. I'm sure these things are just novelties aimed at luring us in to spend our cash. So I'm going back to sleeping normal...on back very comfy, I'm sure bay won't die just because I'm on my back. Another load of rubbish being fed Tony's no doubt....my mum thinks its hysterical bordering on hysteria

You should try the comfort-u body pillow. It is a huge U shape so you can turn over easily without having to get out of bed or readjust the pillow. It is wonderful and I can't imagine sleeping without it. It is $99 but it's worth every dollar! I might even sleep with it after I have my baby.

ive got a v pillow that ive borrowed from a friend and i think its brilliant, it took about a week to get use to but now i can't sleep without it

I am the same. I hate that I looooove sleeping on my back, and mr man wiggles alot when im on my sides sometimes and Im scared that I am squishing him.

Yeah peanut kicks off big time when I'm on my side, he obviously ain't got room.....tho with the size of my bump I fail to see that he's not roomy in there!!

That's such a shame its not working for you!

I am in love with my dreamgenii and have been since I was about 10 weeks and my back started playing up!

I suppose its the same as all bedding, people are so different - what works for one won't work for another.

Dreamgenii's really hold their value though so I wouldn't be surprised if you get a really good price on ebay.

I am also in love with my dreamgenii. Its a shame it doesnt work for you as the previous poster said, bedding comfort is so Individual. I hope you find something that works for you. Xx

I bought a $12 body pillow ( I refused to go for the $$$ pillows) and it works fine for me. It supports my bump and my leg can wrap over it. I put my back against it to "feel" like I am sleeping on my back but I am really on a slant.

Yep I gave up on mine too... spent $70 on it, thought it would be perfect - took up so much space on the bed and it was an easy 10 minutes trying to get comfortable every time I got up to go to the washroom - which is obviously frequently. Really great regular pillow + pillow between knees is working just fine.

Ive wondered how well these work.and it sounds like for a lot of people not well.we sleep with a lot of extra pillows so i just use all of them.and on nights where i'm exceptionally uncomfortable i use OH as my prego pillow :p

Yes yes yes I completely agree with all she said ^^ I splurged on this pillow from amazon and its freakin amazing. I'm a back sleeper and I have this pillow with a thin normal size pillow for the head part to incline me a bit and I can put the bottom parts under my legs and sides when sleeping on my back its like a cocoon and it kinda leans you to one side or the other so your not flat on your back. Plus if I'm on my sides it supports my body from head to toe under bump between knees and its the only time my hips dont hurt. Also the head part is curved so there's no seams digging into your shoulders when on your side. Highly recommended

Agreed with both of them!! ^^ the u shape is nice because you don't have to move the pillow at all when you turn to the other side. Plus I like how it gives you support behind your back, which I need cuz I usually sleep on my back. So it still feels like you are, in a way.

Is your pillow like a t shape? Ie there is a bit for your legs, bump and back? If so that's the one I got, I think! If so you don't have to turn it over when you do as it works both ways, the bit for bump becomes bit for back and bit for back becomes bit for bump! Hope that makes sense! Also the not sleeping on your back thing is about the baby lying on your nerves that can make you dizzy and stuff as it can cut/ reduce the blood to your brain (I think!)

Although in my first pregnancy I loved my pillow and used it all the time, I am finding in this pregnancy its not as comfortable, so some nights I use it, other nights I just use a small pillow between my knees. Wonder if it's cos this baby is lying in a different position that first??

I bought the Theraline one and i do wake up in the night to turn it. Have found its helping my hips but now my back i sore lol! just cant win! i am hoping that will resolve when my new bed turns up! (i hope)

I've never bought one, because I figure it likely wouldn't fit unless I kicked hubby out of the bed! Sorry it didn't work for you. Can you return it?
