Pregnant after miscarraige only 8 weeks ago

Hi I'm writing this post for my friend she sadly lost her baby at 12 weeks that was about 8 weeks ago I think because I was the same amount of weeks pregnant, today shes told me she pregnant again I think ts very soon as shes still grieving for her lost baby and is worried about the chances of miscarriage again has anyone gotten pregnant so quick after a loss and what are the chances of another miscarriage.

I am not entirely sure of the chances. But I had a miscarriage in September at 6+4. I became pregnant again in November. They normally say to wait at least one period before ttc again.

the doctors say that if you have 1 the chances of mc again are really slim ( unless your like me lol) does she know why it happened? xx

I'm sorry to hear of your friend's loss, but congratulations to her on this pregnancy. I lost a baby at 9 weeks in Feb 2008 and was pregnant 3 weeks later with my little Isabelle. Then I miscarried on 30th Nov 2009 and again was pregnant by the end of December and am now 15 weeks so there can be a happy ending. I hope it goes well for her.

I know plenty of woman who have gotten pregnant very quick after their loss and have healthy babies, but at the same time i know woman who miscarried again,
Its different for everyone i guess.

I would try and get a early scan done at the Early Pregnancy Unit

Hiya hun,
They say if you miscarry once then the chances of mc again is slim.
I mc beginning of august 09 i was 6 weeks and found out i was pregnant again at the end of august 09.
I am now 30 weeks and i'm doing fine.
Tell your freind to ask for some extra scans when she see's the midwife. It made me feel better bein able to see baby!
Hope this helps i know how much stress it puts on the mind.

I mc at 5+4 then got a BFP 8 weeks later. I am now 35 weeks pregnant and so far the pregnancy has gone well. I did have a little spotting with this one at 8 weeks and got a scan then, I had requested an early scan before but because I "only" miscarried once I was refused. P

Getting pregnant again so soon has actually helped me I think. My DH and I argued a lot until my 13+2 scan with this one as we were both so scared but overall it really has helped me. I will never forget my Angel, I still think about her daily (always had a feeling I was having a girl before) but Baby H has given me something else to focus on. I hope this makes sense..!

I miscarried at 10 and a half weeks, had a period 5 weeks later and then got pregnant again right after that. You are no more likely to miscarry again if you get pregnant very quickly after a miscarriage than if you wait a while. Congrats and good luck to your friend. For me I believe it has helped to get pregnant so quickly after my miscarriage. I think I would have worried a hell of a lot if I was still trying and possibly become depressed.
