Pregnant on cerazette

anyone been or know of anyone becoming pregnant on this pill? my friend did but my dr wont even do me a pregnancy test because she says its impossible.

ive had bd ibs this week worse than usual and been feeling very sick

i have a very hard rounded bump (see pic)

im usually stick thin after losing a ton of weight since i had my first. i feel so bloated and horrible and dont know if im pregnant or if its just the IBS

what does everyone think? i want to have a pregnancy test but my OH says its impossible too and plus its the last thing he wants another baby

feel bloated sick and fat today


p.s if i was pregnant i could be anything up to 9 months as cerazette stops periods so i have no idea how far along id be!

This pill is only 98% effective, and because it apparently has to be taken very specifically it has a much higher margin for error..... It's possible you may be pregnant, I would definitely bite the bullet and take the test - good luck, I hope you get the result you are looking for!

I dont know how it would be impossible? If you were sick, had diarrhoea, or missed a pill then certainly this would be possible?

Cerazette is one of the pills that have come under scrutiny as its being suggested that women can struggle to get pregnant quickly after being on it so perhaps thats why your friend thinks its unlikely. Anything is possible though. You could quite easily be pregnant. Ive had IBS and personally think your bloating is due to that and not pregnancy. You should test as if you are pregnant you need to start taking folic acid asap. Given that a test only costs a few quid its not worth just speculating about it.

You don't need a doctor to give you a test. Just get one from the shop (pink dye if you can).

long story id get one from a shop myself but cant go out alone due to dizziness so can only go out with OH who says no point getting a test which is why i wanted a dr to do one

i hope its just the IBS ive been diagnosed with it a yr but only just started showing symptoms

i take the pill every day at the same time even tho there is a 12 hour window what im afraid of is the dr said if i missed one which i did while fasting for a blood test she said wait 2 days before having sex...i think i waited 3 then a week later read the packet and it said wait a week!

I was on this for about 5 years and when i came off it it took me 4 months to concieve. I hated that tablet as i didnt bleed with it at all and i feared that i would never get preggers coz of it. When i had my lo i didnt go back on it it turned me into an evil cow lol the chances are pretty slim i would say but get a friend to pick up a test for you for peace of mind or even buy them cheap off ebay they come in normal packaging so ur OH wount notice xx

ty hun lol yeah i complained about periods for so long and now i miss them!!!! i also feel exhausted a lot and very down mood wise but the mini pill is all i can take with breastfeeding and cerazette doesnt have any physical side effects like some so i stayed on it

I think you should just put your foot down and tell your OH that you want a test. Otherwise, if he is really reluctant you could just order one from an online store!

I think if you usually have a flat tummy and its been growing and you're having all these other symptoms then you need to know just to put your mind ease one way or the other! If you're not pregnant then you can at least put it down to IBS.

I was on cerazette for about a year before i had my first LO and was pregnant within a month of stopping, so it obviously doesn't always make it harder to get a BFP after taking it.

You certainly can get pregnant on pills etc... I went in for a test when I was on the implant, because I was CERTAIN I was pregnant, but it turns out my IBS was more severe than first thought. The doctor made me feel stupid for going in, and I was saying "But there's MOVEMENT and I have a swollen tummy, it's not impossible!" but I wasn't pregnant. I got given more pills for IBS which had suddenly gotten worse.

It's possible you could be, but you need to take a test to be sure. Tell your OH to stop being so silly and go and get you a test, because if you ARE pregnant, you need to know for your own peace of mind!!

I definitely think that it could be IBS too.

I have a load of internet cheapies - so if you feel like you can't get out and noone will get you a test within the next week, I can post you one tomorrow x

awww hun ty i shall make OH get one tho he had his first 2 kids within 13 months so is not wanting me to be pregnant for a good 4-5 years!!!!

the ibs suddenly has been so bad these last 2 weeks only just able to leave the house again without worrying il need the toilet in a hurry! dr put my on anti needing the toilet in a hurry tablets and theyve made me constipated but in a lot of pain!

I was given buscopan to stop my stomach spasms and told to effectively sod off and stop complaining, then I was told the only way the buscopan will help me is with laxatives (because I only go to the toilet in THAT was once a fortnight or so...)
My husband could actually SEE my stomach moving, like when my LO kicked when I was pregnant with her! Scary stuff haha!

If it helps at all, I got a BFP today and I've had none of those symptoms lol!

I got pregnant on cerazette...I'm 31 weeks now, think my pregnancy coincided with taking anti biotics for a while too. It can definitely happen and lies of different factors affect how well a pill works, no matter what length of time you have took it for! Hope everything goes well for you
