After being monitored yesterday I was file to keep an eye on my braxton hicks. I've had lots tonight so called l and d and started timing them . They're every 7 minutes ish for 50 seconds. I had a bath and took some paracetemol which has made them uncomfortable rather than painful. The midwife said to call back if they get less than 5 mins apart, become mpre painful or if my waters go. She seemed to think it was probably just latent phase labour and m body getting ready. Anyone does had this around 34/5 weeks?

hey , yh not bad baby girl been quiet so im going in for 12.30, got myself all panicked . pain + less movement sent my brain ticking so for peace of mind .. think it must be bh my tummy was rock hard for ages. never really had them so its kinda caught me off guard lol
u ok now hun?

LEt me know how u get on, I'm still having the odd one but nothing like last night. I have a MW appointment this afternoon I had been intending to cancel but think I will keep it and see what they say..... really don't want to be examined.

My LO isn't engaged yet so if I was getting ready for labour wouldn't she have dropped first? Then again she's a big baby and I have a short body so she might have done and I haven't noticed :haha: Have you tried the old something hot/ something cold/ something sweet trick to get her moving more?

yeh will do hun, not sure on the whole engaging thing hun. she was breech so wonder if they'll say she's moved. my bump has shrunk i no that and dropped down. i havnt tried the cold thing yet. had my bfast and my massive cup of tea that usually gets her going but nothing like normal. she's usally awake at 6.am but hardly nothing this morning again x

yeh im getting them alot through the day, ive not timed them or anything, i just had a strong one a few mins ago, and i feel really weired today! i cant even eat i feel a bit sick, and im feeling very emotional last couple of days!! im like you im fine over night, have the odd few but nothing major. i just hope LO isnt thinking of an early aprerance!! ive started taking RL tablets to tone my uterus so maybe its that just doing its thing. xx

I was like that on Saturday LO was just not doing as much as usual so went in- best to get them checked! x

I stopped with RLT almost immediately as the BH were getting so I was doubled up in pain - don't think I need toning that badly.

I got woken up by BH about 4 or 5 times in the night but I've no pattern now. Yesterday I counted 6 bouts, two longer ones at 30 mins between BH, 3 that were around an hour and half each with them every 15/ 20 minutes and then the big lot last night - 3 hours or contractions every 10 mins then down to 7 mins. Eventually it changed to 9 minutes, then 13, then stopped

I just got worried last night as I had backache with them and had to breathe through them etc. I'm still getting them now but will ask midwife later on. My friend was saying she worked in the USA for a while with some native americans and they used RLT to induce labour - decided to leave it until I get to 37+

Everything I've read says rlt doesn't induce labour. I've had bh since 18 weeks!! But since stopping the tea and going onto tablets that when they've got a bit stronger. I font need to breath through them but they are quite tight alot now and really uncomfortable.

I think I just maybe didn't get on with them. I just wasn't comfortable with the amount I was getting on RLT x They were using the leaves directly when my friend did it so that could be why.

Think they're different for everyone, how are you now? I'm off to see midwife shortly

I've managed to get my arse into gear, get dressed, Imogen dressed, put slow cooker on with tea and just making lunch for me and imm seen as I've not eaten yet! Then she'll have a nap so might do my hypnobirthing and relax a bit. Not had any more strong bh, if I've had any at all I've not noticed them. I've got mw on Wednesday, and growth scan a week today!!! Yay I just remembered that ha ha. Xx

well im back. was hooked up for an hour monkey was wriggling away typical. then she went quiet must be tired from wriggling. mw said she is head down now big wahooo from me.. measuring smaller tho only 30 weeks instead of the 33. got mw next monday so will have to see then apart from that all a ok.. after all that lol hows everyone else?x

She's now measuring 37 weeks and I need another GTT tomorrow. Just feel like she's growing far too big and there's nothing I can do about it.

Will be watching my diet of course! They think the BH I get are because of uterine irritability as she's grown so quickly but if they do turn into preterm labour they will give me steroids but probably won't stop her arriving

yeh in the middle would be good. yh feeling ok now less worrying now i no shes ok. had a quick peak at the birthing pool whilst i was there to. nothing special like i was hoping for. read some where the other day about someones hospital pool experience. sunken lights in the floor , nice quiet room. big pool with sides and seats with lighting inside..
this one was white and just there in the middle of the room lol
o well im sure i wouldnt even notice

:hugs: i've had this since around 35 weeks. they often pick up a pattern. we went in for monitoring yesterday after her pattern of movement changed and the pains picked up a real pattern, i think for me, she seems to engage and my body begins practising for labour, then it tails off and now today, she's moving nicely again :)

it's all such a worry isn't it hon :hugs: xx

Glad to hear you're still hanging on in there. Trouble is with LO's size they are likely to induce me if I don't go early. GL for when your bubba arrives hun, not long to go now! x
