Ok, let me start out by saying that I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure about 5 years ago. I am only 29, but I stopped having regular cycles 3 years ago. My Reproductive Endocrinologist told me my only chance was to use donor eggs or adoption, but I have still held on to the hope that I would someday have my own.
About 3 months ago, I started going to accupuncture every two weeks. She has given me such hope and I have noticed changes in my body already. I feel more like I used to when I had cycles, and last month I had 1 day of very light spotting! So using that, I charted my possible ovulation, but since we couldn't know for sure we've been "trying" every day.
Last week, at 6 DPO (or what I thought would be ovulation) I started noticing that my breasts were very sore. I also had to take a few days off work for what I thought was stomach flu. My breasts are still sore, and when I told my accupuncturist she told me to take an HPT.
I took a First Response last night, which should have been 14DPO, and I detected a very very faint second line, almost invisible. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, that I just wanted to see it so bad. I took another one this morning with my first morning urine, and the very faint line showed up again. Not visible at first glance, doesn't show up when I try to take a picture, but I can see it. And yes, I was able to see it at 3 minutes, not an evaporation line. I just bought a pack of digital tests and couldn't resist trying one, but it said NOT Pregnant. It wasn't first morning urine though, and I've heard the digitals aren't as sensitive.

Any thoughts? Since getting the "infertile" diagnosis it seems really hard to believe, but could it be true? I was told that I might ovulate without a period, so maybe i did...

I have symptons of POF too! I have never met anyone else that has actually had it. I have to get some more tests done to be officially diagnosed but I...kind of don't want to know. I am still having cycles every once in a while. I'm just a little scared. I do have one son now but I was hoping to have more children in the future. It's all a little scary. Any advice? And best of luck with your BFP! It very well could be to early to test with a digi. Maybe go and get a blood test done at the doctors?
