Preseed - how much?

How much preseed to you use? If you use the recommended amount, is it too much and cause a negative affect? Do you insert or apply to him or you?

Sorry....some personal questions but just want to be sure I don't use too much or too little.

I used the recommended amount (can't remember how much that was) and inserted it into me. I often found that I even needed more than that. However, just knowing that I had to use it made me less able to get the job done myself, IYKWIM, so I definitely couldn't skimp. I do know that a lot of people say that the recommended amount is too much.

The recommended amount is the 3 on the syringe (gm? Can't remember the volume).
The first night I used 2, which was just right. The next night I tried the 3, which was way to much. DH was not pleased. Hope we won't need anymore, but we'll be using 2 g from now!

We didn't use it per instructions . Have been applying to him, to play with him for a min before you know. That way I do know it gets into me, but I wonder if it means te spermies don't have their ladder to get into the cervix.
