hi ladies i want to know weather i can get the results of a test to see what my progesterone levels are from the GP's?

cos if its low will this mean i need something more when ttc?? i'm on metformin anyway but just want to know if this could help u see!!

thanks Becci x

Yes the GP can test your progesterone, mine was low and I was given clomid.

the clomid will make sure the follicle is a good size and therefore the corpus luteum left behind will hopefully supply enough progesterone, however, you can also take prometrium vaginally (prescription progesterone). I'm taking clomid for low egg quality due to PCO and my doc has me on the prometrium as a preventative measure...to make sure I won't miscarry due to low progesterone if I actually do manage to get prego. I would definitely say get tested though.
