Hello! I'm a newbie so please bear with me if this is a repetitive question.
Background - I have congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, in short I have amenorrhea and don't regularly ovulate. I was on HRT in my mid-20's for about 6 months then BC for hormone regulation. In September I was put back on HRT because I developed osteoporosis (mind you I'm only 32). So I take estradiol daily, and this month my doctor added prometrium for 10 days for a bleed.
I took the prometrium once daily from December 1-10. I have not had any bleeding, but have had mild cramping for about a week along with a lot of CM. I've had headaches and dizziness, pimples, fatigue, backache, gassy, nausea, heartburn, food cravings and aversions that are strange, vivid dreams, and my straight hair has a crimp in it. I don't think I had any of these on BC or past HRT.
Still, I think these are normal prometrium side effects, but I am wondering if I'm on the correct time line for experiencing them. The doctor said I should get my period in 6-10 days but I'm now 2 weeks from the last dose.
I don't know if it's time to test, or be concerned about taking estradiol until I can test (in-laws are in town).
