Hey ladies, I'm just curious to know if anyone has actually had any luck with bringing on labour. I had a lady say to me the other day that her little girl
was brought on by a jelfrazi lol. And I just wondered if any of your LO has come out due to the common prompts - sex, raspberry leaf tea, spicy food, walking etc... I used to think this little one would come early, now I'm sure I'll
go overdue lol.

Any of you ladies proof that these things can work or is it all rubbish? Lol xx

Im currently 4 days overdue, and have tried all of the above. Having spoken with other people i personally think that when the babies ready they will make an apperance. I also think that EDD are a load of nonsense. When i worked my dates out before the scan i was due on the 3rd September, So were see. I having loads of braxton hicks now, and have a feeling hes on the way! just enjoy your last few wks, and make the most of the time...

So far I've tried walking and sex and nothing has worked idont like spicy food so can't try that because I'm sick of people asking is he not here yet
Grrrr lol xxx

I have been having RLT since 32weeks, EPO since 34wks, Clary sage baths/massage since I turned 37wks.

Nothing yet! Eaten an unripe papaya today which tasted revolting and thinking of having a vindaloo tonight.

I feel exactly the same as you hun, come on babies! :hugs:

its all a load of rubbish babies will only come when hormones are released that say the babies lungs are ready- in a normal healthy pregnancy obviously

Lol yeah my version of spicey food stretches as far as a korma! Lol and I don't have sex!! Lol OH wants to all the time but I just don't find it enjoyable. They say orgasm helps to make you contract but I can't seem to get to that point now a days so that wouldn't help me either! Lol

I also don't know how reliable it is but I did lot's of walking when pregnant with Brandon and had a KFC zinger burger the evening I went into labour (8 days early) x

Yeah I'm the same a korma is about my limit too haha, we only did it the once yesterday but I didn't find it enjoyable as I couldn't get comfy so I need other suggestions I've been cleaning the house like a mad woman today done loads of washings striped al the beds lol I hope this will help get this baby out haha xx

My number one tip would actually be to relax and rest! Your baby and body both work together (most of the time) when chosing when to start labour, so if you feel rested, safe and secure that's the most likely time things will start. That's why women often go into labour at night! My waters broke after a day of doing f*** all - after 3 wks of nesting I just gave up and that's the day it happened 2 days early!

Was just snooping from 2nd tri and reading out of interest...

I eat Jalfrezi/Vindaloo all the time so i don't know how that would trigger labour...unless you had a dodgy one and a bad bowels caused contractions to start! :haha:

It must be like the most frustrating thing you can say to a wommen TTC - Relax and it will happen. I don't necessarily believe this, but it is a lot less effort than all the other tricks you can try! :haha:

My friend tried EVERYTHING from 32 weeks (irresponsible I know) and nothing happened. Then at 5 days over she just gave up and went into labour that night. No discharge, no diarhhoea, no cramps...no sign at all. Next thing she wakes up in the thick of labour and had her daughter in her arms 9 hours later. Lucky thing!

Also, don't know if this helps as I will probably feel the same as you at your stage, but I have been faced with the threat of my little boy arriving too early since I was 18 weeks. All I can think of is keeping him in as long as possible - so to have an overdue baby looks like a blessing to me right now!

Best of luck and hope your babies all arrive healthy and safely when they choose to. :hugs:

Lady at work said she tried everything when she was overdue and it was RLT that started labour off. I'm not sure though as I think baby will come when good and ready.

RLT will not kick labour off, it tones the uterus so it makes it contract stronger in the second part of labour. You could try evening primrose oil, I am taking that now along with RLT. It is meant to soften and ripen the cervix and I do think it helps.
