Hi i'm new to the forum but would be grateful for some advice. I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS, we have been TTC for about a year, my dr has given me Provera to induce a bleed and then clomid to help us conceive, can anyone tell me how long after taking the Provera i should expect a bleed? i have to take the Provera for 7 days and have taken my first pill today

thanks

They say the usual is about 3-7 days after taking your last pill but it can take up to 14 days.

Welcome to BNB hopfully your stay will be a short one x

Hi and welcome, i usually get af about 5 days after last pill. good luck with the clomid hun

my af came like 10 days after my last pill on the first cycle and then once i started the clomid i was ovulating so my period comes on its own!

The first time I used it, I came on after 7 days. The second time was 12 days. x

I got mine 10 days after the last pill.:flower:

Ooh glad i found this! Am taking norethisterone and had wondered this!x

I got mine 10 days after taking my last provera pill. Also, I had no noticeable side effects from the provera.

hi thanks to everyone for their replies, I've now taken 4 days worth of my provera tablets and have started to bleed, do you know if i should continue and take my tablet today or count this as cd1, I've emailed my dr but not sure when he'll be able to respond, i'm on a 7 day course of provera and meant to start clomid on cd2

thanks again

well it looks like they have done their job, once you are bleeding i wouldnt think there is much point still taking them, lucky you  looks like you can move onto the clomid :happydance: best to double check with doc to be sure tho. fx crossed for you hun, are you having your bloods done to check for ov?

my dr said to continue with them and then i should have withdrawl bleed and start my clomid from then so suppose i should wait but just desperate to get started

I have to get blood test cd21 to see if the clomid's worked

i'm happy tho cos now I feel like i have a chance but not getting too excited cos know it might not happen for a while

it's nice to be able to see how other people are getting on with clomid, I didn't realise how common it is!

good luck with it, i hope it works. what level have they started you on. i have seen clomid work for so many people, :hugs:
