Provera/Clomid Question

Hi all

I never, ever, EVER have natural periods, the only way I have them are when they are forced on I.e Provera/the pill etc.

I have taken Provera to force on a bleed and then I am now on my 3rd day of my first round of Clomid whilst on my bleed. I have my 12 day scan all booked in and all that's fine but what I am wondering is; will I have another bleed if I don't fall pregnant this month? I am unsure whether this will knock everything into sync or whether it will be a struggle for me to have a period again. I have taken Provera once before and that never knocked them into Sync, so I am worrying that it won't work again this time unless the Clomid helps out on that side of things. Sorry - I am all new to this!

Hi on clomid I would go up to cd35-40 max then get af and my cycles are usually a nightmare and all over the place- if I ovulated it was late in my cycle which clomid can cause (late ovulation) so fx'd you won't need to keep taking provera hun I know how frustrating not havin periods are- do you have pcos? I'm on a natural cycle an I am on cd55 at the moment! Argh! Some people still need provera on clomid but I'm guessing maybe that's because they didn't ovulate maybe?x

Hi, thanks for your reply. Yeah - I have PCOS, so my cycles are all over the place. Like 2/3 years apart unless induced one way or another! Oh okay, I don't know how this is going to work then - this seems a lot more complicated than I originally first expected! I suppose I shall find out on my scan as to whether I have ovulated, then they will take it from there? Why are things in life never simple? X

I would have scans during taking my clomid is that what your fs is going to do? And other ladies find out through blood tests... I hope you get all the answers you need soon and if you ever need to talk just message me I wish ttc was simple it's such a shame that isn't the case for everyone, but at least we are trying out hardest xx

Yeah when I am off to the 12 day scan, that will be the first as I have only just started taking Clomid on Friday, and then I am not too sure what they are planning on doing each cycle. I am hoping that it won't involve too many hospital/GP visits though asI have not long been in a job, and I don't want to take too much time off so soon after starting. Thank you lovely, you have been a massive help, I am completely at a loss with all this stuff as I haven't ever gone through this before. Yes, indeed! That we are! I, maybe very naively, was hoping that this wouldn't take too long as hubby could spend a lot of time away from home given his job. Maybe we will have too just face that for us it may have to take just a little longer due to the time apart! x

I hope it happens very soon for you I really do hopefully the clomid will give you a nice bfp my fingers are crossed tightly for you good luck! Let me know how you get on at your scan I hope there's some nice big follicles! What mg are you taking?x

Thank you . I have my scan a week tomorrow, so I shall let you know then. I am on 50mgs at the moment x
