Hi Guys,
sorry if this question had already asked, im just a bit confused.

I shall just breif you..
Im 32, OH is 30, we have decided to TCC and will be on our 3rd cycle this month.

My periods are regular and normal flow and are 28-31 days. I have never ever missed a period.

My query is this...Im over weight, and ive noticed i have a hair problem.(sorry tmi) Ive always had blonde hairs on my arms and side of face and its never been a prob, but over last couple of years ive noticed an increase of hair, and its darker. Im self concious about this and try my hardest to wax/shave, all the usual woman this we do.
I reckon however i have excessive hair than normal, what ever normal is.
Im really embarrased but confused as my periods are regular.

Can i have regular periods and have PSOS? if i went to the docs can they do something?..

Ive looked online but it just mentions missed periods,

Any advice out there?

Hi, you can't really tell if you have PCOS or not unless you ask your doctor to test and/or scan to look for it.

I am lighter than my ideal weight, very little body hair, quite regular cycles and ovulate every cycle. Only when I went for fertility treatment (hubby had low sperm count) did my Doc find out I had PCOS through a hormone blood test.

Best you consult your doctor to find out.

I agree with Janice. If you suspect PCOS or another problem just talk to your doctor. They will perform a ton of tests to check for PCOS. If you have it they'll discuss the next steps with you.

Hi I have regular cycles 28/31 days but I'm overweight and have extra hair too. I have pcos due to a hormone imbalance even thow my ovaries look fine. Best to get checked out Hun least then u no if u need any help with ttc. For me I need to lose a few stone to be given clomid as I have low progestrone and my fs wants to strengthen ov I'm on metformin at the mo. Some side effects aren't nicebut I'm trying my best! Pcos effects women differently some have cysts on ovaries and regular cycles some just hormone inbalance or realy long cycles but we all get labeled with pcos. . Hope u get some answers So u no one way or anther. Maybe as ur doc for blood test on cd3 and cd21 then maybe a scan . Xx

Hello ladies!
I was diagnosed with PCOS in April. My weight has always been up and down, going from 200lbs to 120lbs in a matter of months and vice versa. I have irregular periods every month, but I do get them every month. I also dont actually have any cysts on my ovaries, but I can grow a better beard than DH! I'm learning that theres a pretty wide spectrum on symptoms with pcos. I didnt even know I had it until I started TTC.
good luck to you!!
:hugs:
