At what age did you/will you stop physically putting LO to bed?
ie. bottle & cuddles until they are asleep or just lying with them until they are asleep

My LO is 18m and still needs a bottle & me in the bed with her to fall asleep.

Nims 13 months and still has cuddles, bottle and then bed. She's not asleep by she's sleepy

I'd guess you just have to wean it back by degrees, keep the cuddles and bottle but try getting to the point you can pop them down after and leave.

My next step for madam is bringing the bottle out if the bedroom/dark and doing it on the sofa, then cuddles into her room with a short story and into bed. As she gets older (into single bed) I'll move the story and cuddles into the bed with me sitting next to her, rather than holding. So I guess by 2 ish I'd expect to be able to go in tuck her in, read a little rhyme then leave

HTH

It also doesn't help LO won't hold her own bottle either.
*yep, she's spoiled ;)

Megan has self settled for a while now. She hasn't had bottles since 12 months. She has a sippycup of milk while reading books with daddy ( in her room in a chair) while I am cleaning up and getting things organized for her bedtime. She the past few months has been going potty ( not potty trained yet), then pjs on, a couple of bedtime books with me after she says goodnight to dad, then brush teeth, then lights out.

She had been self settling at an earlier age... But regressed back... And we then did cc at 13 months and she has self settled since then.

my LO has never needed me to put him to bed in that sence he goes down usually at about 7 i give him a tubby and a bubba around 6 (he doesnt take bottles any more now thou) then he plays at around 650 i brush his teeth read him a story and put him into his bed and he falls asleep usually by 730 he doesnt fall asleep strait away he usually jumps on his bed for a bit then he gets tired and falls asleep :)

I guess Elliot hasn't needed me to put him to bed since he was about 13 months old (he would never feed himself the bottle either lol) but from 13 months I switched to a beaker, so he feeds himself his milk downstairs then I put him to bed (but sometimes he doesn't want any milk anyway), every other night I bathe him, (we have cuddles downstairs before bedtime) and then once I've dressed him I put him straight down. He sleeps fine without a bath also, and he does this for my DH and Mum as well so I guess technically he doesn't need us to put him to bed, he'd sleep fine if I just plonked him in (like I do for his naps lol)

(I should add other than having night time milk he has self settled for a very long time, I couldn't even give you a month, before 6 months, whenever he had a bit of a regression CC worked within a day or 2)

Thanks ladies for your responses.
If i didnt physically put LO to bed, she'd never sleep.
