Ok strange combo i know!

Just wondering at what age people stopped using the highchair and just let LO sit at the table??

And also once they hit 2 did you still put LO in popper body vests? LO is squeezing into 12-18ones, and theyre pretty ready for the bin now, but shes 2 in 3 months, should i be getting her more body popper ones, or just go for 'big girl' vests that stop at the waist... (Should be PT'ing v soon btw)....

ta in advance x

Jacob's still in a highchair and will be for as long as possible, we don't have space for a proper table and only have a little pull out one with fold up seats, also he's not quite big enough for most tables without a booster seat.
Vests - I've bought some 2-3 popper ones from m&s although he's still fitting into his 18-24's, I think they're better while he's in nappies and as he is showing no interest in potty training and seems to be scared of the potty ever since he accidentally weed in it, that could be quite some time lol

Can't answer the highchair question but my LO is in normal vests that come to the waist now.

Ill keep Evie in her highchair for as long as possible ;)

When you say 'vest' do you mean underwear vest or normal t-shirt type vest?

Evie has a mixture of regular non popper tops and and poppers. In the summer when it was hot she didnt often wear a popper top. Now its getting cold again i just went and bought her a pack of long sleeve tops with poppers.

When it gets really cold i will put an actual vest (no sleeves) with poppers on as part of her underwear and then a regular long sleeve (non poppers) over the top

We moved from highchair (well just stopped using it really) maybe at 20 monthsish?

Cant help with the vest thing as she was potty trained before she needed more than 12-18 vests. I'd be inclined to keep her in a popper vest if she has a nappy though

Yeah im not sure whether shes ok to wear these kind of vests now? https://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wc...001_233010518305?CMP=OTC-GOOGLEPS&sku=6851971

or still should buy more of these.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170525562502

not those actuall ones but that kind, yep theyre 'underwear' and would have her t-shirt ontop and then a jumper.

I dont know why such a simple dilema is really not an easy decision for me tonight
Just dont want to waste money buying the wrong ones, shes in 18-24 clothes, but im going to buy vests age 2..

In the winter i like Evie to have the popper vest like this

as i dont want her back to get cold.

She still has quite a few popper t-shirts that will fit when it gets quite cold but ill use them for under pyjamas so maybe that could be an option for you if your not sure? At least she will still wear them either way ;)

I think im gonna just stop using the highchair too, I want to sort the kitchen out and get a new table from Ikea and the highchair is in the way, also a pain to clean! Is 21months normalish age to let them sit on a chair at the table?

we took lyssa out of a highchair at 13 months and put her in a booster seat pulled up to the table
and lyssa isnt showing any sign of being ready to potty train yet so we're keeping her in popper vests for now x

I got Charlie a little table and chair when he was around 20 months and he loves it. He still has popper vests from John Lewis (quite long body) on when it's cold, but I've already bought plain vests for when he's fully potty trained, I think the popper vests are better over a nappy :)

Daisy has this little table and chair from Mothercare. This pic is off Mothercare's website. I have a new laptop as my old one completely died and no photos on it as yet so can't post one of Daisy at hers!

At the moment we have the bar on the chair so she can't get out but we're planning on removing the bar soon so it is just an ordinary table and chair. We havent got a proper big table and chairs, just a round table and stools, which are obviously no good for her so this does the job.

She still wears popper vests. I'm keeping her in them until she's out of nappies I think.

Ruby was sitting at the table from about 20 months i think, she ate better that way!
as for vests she was in proper vests from about 18 months but thats purely because she was wearing age 3 clothes and i just couldnt find popper vests in that size! I think if it wasnt for size id have kept her in those until we potty trained.

Thomas has been in a booster seat at the table for ages now, can't remember exactly what age, before 18 months I think.

He was in popper vests up until we started toilet training and since then he's been in normal 'big boy' vests. I wouldn't bother getting too many more popper vests if you are planning on starting potty training soon as they are not compatible.

Omar uses a booster or his highchair, if he sits on his small chair he will run away :)

He still wears vests with poppers. Once we start potty training I will get him normal vests xx

Okay thanks, Think ill get one pack of popper vests for when its colder and one pack of normal ones, Shes showing all the signs of potty training but im not sure how to tackle it head on so ive not really done anything yet!! :/

I have a table and 2 chairs in the kitchen and she always climbs onto one and says hungry, and if a friend of hers is over the friend will go in the highchair, but id really like that corner of space where the highchair is, so i think ill get rid of it and shes getting a table and chairs from ikea for her bday, so if need be she can eat at that. :)

yey finally decided!

I know you have already decided but I thought I would throw my two cents in. :haha: I put Tiarnan in a booster seat at the table with us at 15 months, Cormac is still in the high chair but I think he will get a booster here soon as his little legs are getting too fat. ;)
As far as onsies (popper vests) are concerned, I stopped putting both boys in them when they outgrew the 12 month size. I think diaper changes are much easier when you can just pull down thier pants.

I think we are going to stop using the high chair soon for Abigail, but not sure how to replace it as our main eating table is in the dining room where we have carpet which will get trashed. In the kitchen we only have a breakfast bar so can't really use a booster seat.
Vests - I have just put Abigail into the non popper ones which we call her big girl vests.

I'm keeping Tom in popper vests until we start toilet training - not sure when that will be as he doesn't always tell me that he's done a poo yet.

Tom has a tripp traqpp chair at the table so he will stay using that for a long time yet. We took the baby set off about 6 months ago and I've just stopped using the harness all the time cos he sits still most of the time.

we started using a booster seat on a normal chair a couple of months ago. my LO isnt tall enough to sit at our table (which is quite high) so a booster is needed.

still using vests and will do until potty training which i think is a few months off for us (and the weather has turned cold the last week or so!)

We won't buy any more popper vests, we've got normal vests. We'll tuck them into her trousers / tights so she doesn't end up with a cold back.
She's still in nappies but I don't really see any reason to keep her in popper vests because of that.

Ruby has always been at the table with us in a Tripp Trapp highchair and will be until the new baby is weaning, at which point we'll swap her to a booster so he/she can have the TT.
