Q about when you confirm twins or multiples

If an emergency ultrasound at 6 weeks + 5 days shows only one sack, does that mean it is impossible to be carrying more than one?

By 6 weeks they should clearly see 1 or 2 sacs

I would imagine they could see if there was more than one..They are pretty small, and should be clearly visible.

the pic in my sig was 6 weeks - clearly two and I had heartbeats too then (although it was quite early for heatbeats) xx

I had a scan at 6+2 days and also saw 2 sacs and 2 heartbeats. Did you have an internal scan? xx

Hmm thanks ladies, there is def only one then. It wasn't an internal exam, just a quick regular one in the ER room. I was just curious as my bump is getting so big but I'm still slim (I'm 15 weeks in that picture) and twins are very common in my family, my mom was starting to get curious (granny had multiple sets including my mom), thanks!
