Quality or Quantity?!!

Which do you prefer?

I prefer quality! Im probably going to sound really ungrateful but every year the mil buys the kids loads of crap, i would much rather she bought them one nice present each!

I prefer quality to, before my sil fell out with us she used to bring Dan the biggest load of crap, it would have been about 20-25 pressie but they were things from the pound shop and they would have been broke by Christmas night/Boxing day. Dont get my wrong I buy things from the pound shop so I am not being mean

Yup thats what my mil does, we buy bits from the pound shop too, and 99% of the time come january everything has to be binned cos its fell apart. I told her what nicole wanted off them, but she has already bought her loads of bits One of the presents they got callum last year is still sitting in the box in their room untouched!!

Sounds the same as what my sil used to do, she would actually ask us what Dan was in to and what he would like for Christmas and we would tell her, she would have told us that she would get him it, so we would take it off our list Then on Christmas eve she would arrive with a black bag full of crap I have to say Dan did enjoyed opening them all, he then enjoyed breaking them all

quality defo. I'd rather receive 1 good present than loads of crap. My gran is terrible for wasting £30 on crap little nick nacks where we would prefer the money or a bigger gift like makeup or dvds.

£1 shop is good for stocking filler but for actual proper pressies not so good.

quality is more important, as well as receiving crap I hate when I dont know what to buy any I refuse to give rubbish too lol. On birthdays and stuff when people dont know what they want rather than buy something I dont even know if they will use I just pop money or a voucher in a card. I think people think money or a voucher is less thoughtful as a gift but really most people would prefer to go out and pick their own stuff :\ x

Couldn't agree more! We're lucky as our family is always pretty thoughtful when it comes to Maddi, but i'd rather have one small thing she's going to love and is great quality than lots of things she can't use as they break!

thats so much like OH family (that sounds so bad cause I do like them)
but they always get the kids things they don't need

why ask what they need if they not gonna get it any way

Quality deffo. It was annoying last year when my OH's family bought Aidan aload of crap, I mean I know he was really young but Ive just got this feeling they'll do the same this year! My OH says im ungrateful but I'm not, I just dont see the point in buying crap x
