question about metformin and TTC

I was told I have PCOS and put on metformin. I started taking this on the 4th of this month. I should of had my period by the "books" on the 10-12th. I have still not started have had cramps and tender boobs for past week. I think im going insane and its just the metformin right?

also i thought i seen a little light brown discharge today but then it was gone the next time i peed.

am i just wishing too much??

That brown discharge may have been implantation bleeding. If your period is overdue, then you should probably take a test just to check. Do you normally ovulate on your own? It's a bit soon for metformin to have had a major effect on your cycles.

It could affect it. Started taking metformin mid June and my cycle supposed to start July 5th, but didn't get it until July 9th. It also lasted only 2.5 days and I'm like clockwork.

no, i do not ovulate on my own but I also went through a surgery on the 24th of june for my left shoulder. Could those meds they pumped me full of mess with my monthly?

would love to be prego.
