Question about "simon"

Hi, My sister who is expecting a boy isn't sure about this name.
Mainly because of the way it is pronounced in German
In German it is pronounced 'zeemon' so her fears are that everyone would think that his name is 'semen'
So thats why I am asking you English native speakers, would you think about 'semen ' when you hear 'zeemon'

I do see where she is coming from, however to be completely honest, I think because the last part is still pronounced 'on' this makes it ok. It isn't like it is 'en' otherwise then maybe people might think it sounds like semen.

I voted not sure, I probably wouldnt even think of semen but now youve mentioned it I can see how it could be heard like that so im not sure To be honest I dont think it would be the first thing to come to someones mind when they heard "zeemon" as it would just been seen as a name x
