I'm on CD1 and plan on temping start cd2 but do you have to use a Basal body ther. to temp or can a regular one be used?

Bbt thermometer is better for a couple of reasons. You need a thermometer that reads to 1/10th a degree accurately and also you need a reading quickly. Conventional thermometers need time to give a good reading and your bbt starts to rise as soon as you awaken. Also the older thermometers (mercury type) need to be shook down before use which in itself can cause your by to rise. The most important part of temping is getting a reading quickly at the same time each day...and of course to 1/10th of a degree. Good luck!

thank you i guess I will be stopping by walmart tonight, but will i be fine if i start on cd2

Absolutely...af temps are kind of whacky anyways so missing a day of two of them shouldn't hurt anything.
