question about water breaking

i've read on here that some ladies say they felt a pop when their water broke... when you feel that pop, can you hear it as well? and is it painful? earlier i went to sit on the toilet and i felt a pop down there but i'm almost positive that it was just something in my pelvis popping, it was down low... never had it there before, but baby has dropped and my hips have been popping like crazy since he did lol. and i didn't have any trickle or anything afterwards... but i got to thinking about that pop and wondering what it felt like/sounded like :]

i heard a pop when my waters broke with Jack, but i was already on the hosp bed and it totally gushed as well

was it painful at all or more like, you could just tell that it happened?

I heard & felt a faint pop with mine, & they gushed everywhere instantly- am thankful I was sat on the toilet at the time lol.
