Hello ladies,

I am going for the reusable nappies option once my little one is here. I've been browsing and there is so much choice and I don't know what to get!
What are the essentials? How many do you need? Which are the best options/brand/anything!?

Really looking forward to your answers, I have 2 months to sort this out. Thanks! :)

The ladies in the natural parenting are really helpful with these questions! From what I gathered the meconium can be really frustrating to get out in the wash, others have said this is no problem. I also found that the cloths seems to be really large for a newborn. So for both reasons some people wait until a little later to start using them.

We found a brand that is pretty popular called G-Baby that comes in sizes, 8-14 lbs for a small. I feel like this will be a little less bulky than some of the ones that go for the whole first year. But others have no problems with them b/c they are adjustable. It is so confusing trying to sort all the different options out!! I found that most online stores have tutorials telling you the difference b/t all in ones, prefolds, hybrids, etc. Youtube.com has good videos that show you how to change them, wash them, strip them, and reviews for various brands. I hope that helps! I am new to the whole idea too. We bought a couple to see how it goes and I am sure it will be a learning process!

Thank you! There is so much choice that you don't know what to go for! I'm going to post this in the Natural parenting section and check out the G baby nappies.
Thanks again and good luck with the nappy changing :)
