Question re Ovulation/Implantation Spotting

Hi all!

A little about me - I am 31 yrs old and have been with my partner for 15 years. We started TTC two years ago and were pleasantly surprised to fall after 3 months. Sadly this pregnancy was not meant to be as it was ectopic which resulted in me losing my right tube. We have been trying ever since.

I am currently 9dpo and have had the weirdest cycle ever. I started spotting two days before ovulation and then ovulated on CD14 (confirmed by + OPK and temping). The confusing part is that I have continued to spot until now with temps just above coverline. I was on clomid the previous 6 cycles but as I have been referred to IVF so I did not take it this time round.

My temps skyrocketing at 8 dpo and my temp this morning was just as high. I have not tested as yet but am itching to do one. I will be testing Wednesday morning (in two days).

Feel free to offer any suggestions as to why I would have continuous spotting as it has me very confused.

Spotting before ov usually means a strong and healthy ovulation. Maybe you finally caught a healthy egg?! I have heard of many women getting pregnant the cycle before seeing a fertility specialist.

The only time I ever spotted during Ovulation what the cycle that I got pregnant with my son. I didn't think anything of it at the time, just thought it was odd.. then got my BFP.

Thanks ItsAWonder but unfortunately I got a BFN on my test yesterday and had a drop in temp. I was very dry yesterday but then I got more spotting mixed in with some ewcm this morning. I usually don't spot this early before my period (due 5 July).

Not to worry - off to my appointment I go. Looking forward to actually finally getting some tests done

That's awesome lovebabyhopes and thank you for replying. Odds are slim for a BFP for me unfortunately but I still hold onto the fact that AF has not turned up as yet. Due in 4 days so we will see. I am just a little clueless this time round

Hi ItsAWonder! No AF as yet and would you believe the battery went flat in my thermometer overnight so unfortunately I couldn't even check my temp. I am guessing it would have dropped this morning though as I am due for AF in two days.

TMI warning - last night I had thick glob of dark brown ewcm which is unusual for me but hey - this whole cycle has been unusual!! I also had light AF type cramping so I am even thinking AF will rear her ugly face tomorrow at some stage!!

For any of you who are playing along at home, AF turned up in full force yesterday. Onto yet another cycle but at least I am being monitored this time so I know which side I will be popping an egg from
